Typical Steps of a Patent Infringement

Analysis and Investigation

     1.      Assuming a typical patent of 15-20 pages, having a single invention and
           1-3 independent claims.

     2.      We would fore see the following steps/estimates to minimize our expense/time:

             A)    Approximately 6 hours to complete a review of the patent against a single
product or type of product. Basically identify how strong the infringement
and possible issues/concerns with the patent claims, specification, and
                    product.

             B)    Approximately 8 hours to review the filewapper and prior art cited by
                   examiner for claim narrowing.

             C) Approximately 4 hours to review of a validity/claim search report and
                  references.

             D) Approximately 1-4 hours for attorney/expert review sessions and anticipate
                  in claim term definitions.

             E) Approximately 40 hours to complete a claim chart against the product
(rule 11 quality) using attorney provided/approved definitions.

             F) Reverse engineering of a competitors product is based on our hourly
rate and the degree of complexity.

            G)  Approximately 30 hours for each additional product.
